The Michaelis Foundation for Global Education is proud to announce its new collaboration with CD-SEAS, located in Marion County, Florida.
The two organizations are collaborating in the development of new space endeavors. Jonna Ocampo, founder and Principal Investigator of CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity, biomedical research in Organic Chemistry, Crew Member for NASA’s Human Exploration Research Analog (HERA) for Campaign 3 and Mission 4, will join Science Days and Science Days Challenge initiatives of the Foundation, with the aim of promoting STEM/Space educational and research undertakings. CD-SEAS, Compound Derivatives Series - Synthesis & Evaluation of Antimicrobials in Space was formed as a biomedical research company. Latest Research Progression: 1. Current creation of a new antibiotic with antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor properties. 2. New biotechnology creation for short and long-term space travel and use in remote areas on Earth.
