Campinas / São José dos Campos, Brazil — March 28, 2026 — The landmark 10th edition of Science Days marked a historic milestone for STEM and space education in Brazil, welcoming more than 10,000 students, educators, families, and science enthusiasts during this year’s celebrations in Campinas and São José dos Campos.

Over the past decade, Science Days has become one of the most recognized American STEM and Space Education initiatives outside the United States, inspiring young minds through science, innovation, and space exploration. The 2026 edition featured immersive educational experiences, interactive exhibits, scientific presentations, and unprecedented opportunities for students to connect directly with scientists, educators, and space industry professionals.

The 2026 edition once again received special recognition and support from leading U.S. institutions and global organizations, including AWS, Amazon, and KSCIA – International Space Academy, whose collaboration helped strengthen the international impact and educational reach of the initiative.

One of the highlights of the Campinas edition was the unforgettable Science Days Space Night, where the 10 finalist teams of the International Journey Spaceflight Experiments Program (IJSEP) presented their scientific projects and experiments developed for microgravity research and potential spaceflight. The event celebrated the remarkable achievements of students who are already contributing to the future of scientific discovery and space exploration.

As part of this historic milestone, one of the IJSEP finalist team will also have the special opportunity to present its project during the International Journey Space Conference (IJSC) 2026, further expanding international visibility for student-led innovation and scientific collaboration.

“Science Days was created with the mission of making science and space education more accessible, inspiring, and transformative for students everywhere,” said Jefferson Michaelis, Founder of Science Days and Program Coordinator of IJSEP. “Seeing thousands of students and families engaged in learning, innovation, and discovery during this 10th anniversary celebration proves the incredible power of education to unite communities and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers.”

Science Days continues to serve as a global platform for collaboration, inspiration, and educational innovation, reinforcing the importance of international partnerships in preparing young people for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
